Quality that counts
Tamper-proof SnapTag® ear tags meet the EU requirements.  They are made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and their quality has been tried and tested.  The tags are also easy to insert and very durable. The tags are soft, very flexible and elastic. As a result of this they can withstand strong treatment - although, it is the ear tag that will, in extreme circumstances, break itself off before harming the animal's ear. Similarly, SnapTag® ear tags are resistant to both stable microbes as well as sunshine.

Two high quality varieties
SnapTag® designs come in two varieties – there is the well-known optimally durable ST-series and there is the
U-series that can be used for tagging when reduced costs come before durability. All ST and U-Series tags can be combined

U-series locking system:
This unique locking system protects the ear from being squeezed too tightly.

 

ST-Series locking system:
High glass content ensures a sharp point and along with its rustproof locking washer it ensures a secure locking system.

Consists of a single plastic material and is typically used where several years durability is not required - for instance for marking of piglets.
ST-Series
The unique lock system in the SnapTag® ST-Series ear tags has a complex and unique construction with a hardened point on the pin and a security metal snap made out of stainless steel. The latter ensures that the two parts of the tag can always turn freely, and it prevents the reuse of the ear tag.
